Saanich, as part of their Capital Works project, will be constructing a sidewalk on the south side of Cadboro Bay Rd within the Cadboro Bay Village area. This will include:

1. Construction of a 2m wide concrete sidewalk on the south side between Sinclair Rd & Penrhyn St (approx. 75 m long)

2. Construction of a 2 m wide asphalt sidewalk on the south side, connecting to the existing sidewalk in front of Starbucks and extending eastward towards the existing bus stop (approx. 70 m long)

3. Improving access to the existing eastbound bus stop within the Cadboro Bay Village area.

This project will also improve cycling accessibility as this portion of Cadboro Bay Rd is identified as a Local Connector / Touring Route on Saanich’s Bikeway Network.

Construction is to start in mid-March and will take about 6 weeks. Crews will be present 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. Please follow instructions of traffic control and/or construction personnel.
